CARE Transit is committed to protect the privacy of information pertaining to its constituents resident in its files. The only information that will be obtained and kept on file is that which is necessary to conduct the service of the program. Personal information will not be shared with third parties unless it relates to the requirements prescribed by the government agencies to which CARE Transit is accountable. Every effort will be made to keep electronic and paper files secure so that no personal information, in our possession, is accessible to unauthorized individuals. Individuals may have access to their personal information upon request. CARE Transit will not use information beyond the intent for which it was originally obtained. All personnel connected to CARE Transit are required to respect and maintain the confidentiality of individual personal information about persons gained through their role in the volunteer transportation program, including, but not limited to, all computer software and files, CARE Transit business documents and printouts, and all volunteer, client, employee, membership, donor and supporter records. |
